Mitsubishi Replacement Lamps are covered by a 30 days limited warranty.

In other words, if you bought a replacement Lamp from us and it fails before 30 days of the purchase date (ie. bulb explosion, defective bulb, dead lamp), we will replace the lamp under warranty.

This warranty is provided by the lamp manufacturers through Mitsubishi Electric, USA. You the consumer are entitled to the manufacturer’s limited expressed warranty.

Express Repair Center do not offer any extended or independent warranties on lamps.

Most lamp manufacturers state that their lamps will work for 1500 hours, 2000 hours, or even 6000 hours. Mitsubishi projector lamps are manufactured by various companies including Philips, Osram, Ushio and Phoenix. There is no guarantee how long each lamp will last. As a maximum, Mitsubishi state in their instruction books, that lamps should be expected to last up to 2000 hours. This figure comes from the lamp manufacturers, not Mitsubishi not Express Repair Center. Should lamps fail before the expected lifetime, Mitsubishi and/or its agents, are not responsible for replacing lamps under warranty, unless the lamp fails within the period shown above.

The lifetime of lamps depend on a number of factors. These include how the projector is handled, the cool down period, the temperature of air outside the projector and the manufacturing process. It is impossible to predict the lifetime of projector lamps because each one is different, and the handling of projectors differs under various circumstances. The manufacturing process is such that consistency under mass production is impossible. Locally, we cannot determine how projectors have been handled and therefore are unable to offer any guarantee of lamp lifetime.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that lamps perform to end users expectations, there is no guarantee that lamps will last the lifetime stated in instruction books or marketing material. Even if every care has been taken, lamps may fail before the expected lifetime. End users should expect to change lamps regularly depending on the usage of the projector. It is not recommended that end users budget for replacement based on the maximum lifetime of lamps.

If you believe that the product is defective contact Customer Support to obtain a replacement and a Return Authorization (RMA). Products returned as defective will be tested upon receipt to confirm the defect. Once confirmed a replacement product will be shipped. If the product is tested and confirmed to be in proper working order, Express Repair Center reserves the right to return it to you. Shipping charges are a customer responsibility.
Serial Numbers of each lamp are recorded by Mitsubishi and Express Repair Center Prior to Shipping.

The effective cooling of your projector is crucial for trouble free operation and a long projector life. Dust filters need to be cleaned regularly to ensure that the projector is properly ventilated and does not overheat. This is vital to the life of both projector and lamp.

Always read the User Manual of your unit for detailed Instructions about the maintenance.
The interval required between each cleaning of the dust filter is dependent on the projector usage, as well as the operating environment. Naturally, extended use or a dusty environment will necessitate more frequent cleaning. The rule of thumb is about once every 3 months but at least every 200 operating hours. Problems resulting from allowing the filters to become clogged can include one or more of the following temporary or permanent problems:

• Poor image quality and/or uniformity.

• A "Hotspot" in the middle of a projected image caused by an overheated LCD module.

• Lamp fusing or shortened lamp life.

• A burning smell caused by the optical engine melt down.

• A temporary or permanent projector shutdown caused by an overheated temperature safety switch or a repeatedly over-heated power supply.
