Camera Repair FAQ
Does Express Repair Center repair all
cameras regardless of Make and Model?
In most cases we can. We have an enormous stock of spare parts in our
inventory. However, when parts support has been discontinued by the
manufacturer we may not be able to repair some models.
Is my camera worth repairing?
Generally it is always more economical to repair your camera than to replace
it. If your camera has been completely submerged in water or other liquids
it may not be worth repairing.
How much does it cost to
fix my camera ?
It is not possible to develop
an accurate estimate for repair of a piece of equipment without knowing what
parts are defective, how much they cost if they are available, what pieces
of test equipment are required to complete the repair, and how much time all
of this will take. but to make things simple we implemented a flat rate
system please check our
Service Rates Page
I’m not sure my camera is broken,
how do I know if I’m doing something wrong?
First check your battery to insure it is still good and properly inserted.
Then check your owner’s manual to insure you are using the camera correctly.
If you still have a problem the camera probably needs repair. Please follow
the instructions on how to send your camera in for repair.
Does Express Repair Center
guarantee the repairs performed?
Of Course! Repaired products are guaranteed to be free from defects under
normal use for 90 days from repair completion.
Our obligation is to rework (same defect) provided that the equipment is
returned with a copy of the original invoice and a letter or work order with
a detailed defect description, transportation prepaid. We are not
responsible for any expense, loss or inconvenience. Any guarantee is voided
on any item or parts that have been tampered with by unauthorized persons,
misused, neglected or damaged.
How much will it cost to repair my
camera?
It is difficult to answer this question without details regarding the type
of product and the failure encountered. Please use email us with details. We
will respond by Email and provide you with a general repair estimate. We
provide these estimates to the best of our ability and reserve the right to
amend this estimate upon actual inspection.
How do I send my camera to Express
Repair Center for repair?
Package your camera in a box large enough for a minimum of 3 inches of soft
padding around the unit. Use bubble wrap or newspaper to provide the padding
and ship the box by UPS, Federal Express or US Mail. It is advisable to
insure the shipment for the replacement value of the content. Please include
your name, address, daytime telephone number, and a letter or work order
detailing the product defect
(repair form here). If the product is submitted
for warranty repair also include your dated sales receipt.
What happens after Express Repair
Center receives my camera?
When cameras are received for non-warranty repairs an estimate is issued and
either mailed or faxed to you. The estimate can be approved with payment by
Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express for the fastest return. If
you prefer you can send a check or money order by mail.
